Rock Bottom Carpets is a discount flooring retailer that has served North Alabama since 1996 — close to three decades — with three showrooms along the Highway 72 corridor: 802 US Hwy 72 East in Athens, Bob Wallace Avenue in Huntsville, and Highway 72 West in Madison. The name describes the pitch: budget-conscious pricing on floor covering, backed by in-house installers rather than a subcontractor rotation.
The product line covers carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl and waterproof flooring. The company's estimate process is built for convenience: free in-home estimates can be scheduled online with a choice of showroom location, preferred date and a morning, afternoon or evening time slot. A financing program and an on-sale section round out the discount positioning. For Athens-area shoppers comparing prices against bigger showrooms, the Athens location puts the company's budget pricing and in-house installers twenty minutes from the square.
Carpet: Sells carpet at discount pricing, its original and still core product category.
